Farmers Market, Flea Market and Horse Auction
The Market is located on Rte 148 or Main St on the west side of the town of Lachute. This market was started in the 1950's as a small farmers and horse auction. The Market runs 2-3 days a week year around with Tuesday being the main day then a smaller Sunday market for local antiques and food products. Saturday in the summer there is a fruit stand where you can pick up your week-end supplies
Today on the 15 acre site everything from A-Z can be found. Fresh fruits and vegatables of every sort. Exclusive aisles for food, clothes, shoes, tools, 2-3 aisles just for antiques (arrive early the antiques sell out fast 7:00AM), horse equipment. This all totals about 700 spaces with about 500 vendors in the peak summer months.
The Market consists of 2 restaurants (1 seasonal and 1 year round), 1 large indoor antique mall with 20 vendors year round, a bar inside and 1 out side for summer entertainment with live music. 3 mini-storage buildings to store your product during the week and sell on Tuesdays and Sundays. Tuesdays in the cool months there is a weekly indoor auction selling odds and ends. As well there is 1 mini-storage surrounded by a secure fence for long term storage.
Make no mistake, this is a large market and in the summer time on a Tuesday this is an all day affair. From antiques in the morning to clothes, lunch, vegatables and to cap off a horse auction starting at 2:00 PM. You can calculate on at least a couple of miles of aisles
Tuesdays Market runs 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Sundays Market is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
